Kia ora, I'm Leanne. 

I have been teaching Pilates in Palmerston North for over 18 years. 
I do Pilates because it helps me stay fit and healthy and be the best that I can be.
About me:
I have been involved in Pilates for many years and offer group mat classes to all ranges of ability. 

I qualified to instruct Mat Pilates in 2004 and Standing Pilates 2006 through the PhysicalMind Institute.  I continue to upskill through online training and attending regular workshops with Hearts & Bones. 

I do not ask for your medical history as I am not qualified to give advice relating to this.  I have studied basic anatomy and biomechanics and I am always happy to discuss alternative moves before you feel any discomfort during class.

The Pilates exercises I offer will help you build your core strength, improve your flexibility and improve your balance and control.  They focus on posture and breathing techniques and are designed around body awareness.  I try to incorporate the entire body in my routines giving you an all over workout. 

I will always try to communicate, to the best of my knowledge, the safest way to do these exercises.  I am an advocate for the “archetypal postures”.  I encourage floor sitting for flexibility and the strength required for standing unaided.

I set goals for myself and I enjoy helping my clients meet their goals.
